Gauri Kavi is a versatile and innovative singer based in Mumbai, India. As a successful playback singer, she has lent her voice to many stage productions, television serials and advertisement jingles. She has appeared in numerous live shows in India and abroad and has also sung in stage musicals. Her work has been published as music albums by eminent music companies such as T-Series and HMV. At an early age, Gauri’s musical talent was cultivated in the rich tradition of Hindustani classical music under the guidance of her mother Mrs. Aparna Kavi, (disciple of Late. Pt. Phiroze Dastur, the doyen of Kirana Gharana) and Pt. Chandrakant Limaye of Vasantrao Gharana. Gauri received advanced education in light vocal music from the well known music composer and guru Pt. Yashwant Deo for more than four years, and has subsequently found valuable guidance from renowned music directors like Ashok Patki, Nandu Honap, D. S. Reuben and Prashant Thackeray.

A commerce graduate. Learnt classical music from Ustad Fakir Mohammad and pursued his love for music and has never looked back. He has been associated with the music industry for the last 38 years. His contribution to Theatre, Films,Telefilms,TV serials, TV commercials, Jingles, Advertising and Radio broadcasting is well known and well appreciated. He has worked with all time great classical artists, famous plaback artists and music directors. He has composed for several music albums. He has contributed tunes for titles of TV series like Colgate Top 10, Music Cafe, Amchi Mumbai, Suhana Sahyadri Antakshari, Tuza Maza Jamena, Aayushmaan Bhava, Family dot com, Raag Ek Rang Anek,Khawateen-E- Hindustan, Kai Ghaar Ahe, Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi, Sampada,Een Meen Teen to name a few.He has been woking as a Judge for the DD Sahyadri Antakshari programme for the last 2 years.

Aparrna Kavi has learnt music under guru shishya parampara with renowned teachers like Pt Feroze Dastur. She has been engaged in teaching music in Dombivli for over 18 years. The curriculum at Swardhara has been designed and carefully drafted by Aparna Kavi to enable easy understanding of the Hindustani Classical Music of Kirana Gharana.
